Sinful Colors Winterberry
The base I used for this manicure is Sinful Colors Winterberry. It's kind of an interesting color to explain. It's kind of a dark purpley gray with silver shimmer to it. I applied 2 coats, but you may need 3 depending on how thick of a coat you apply. I love this color and my even picked it out! Love you Mom!

Finger Paints Special Effects- Twisted
Hello hello! A few days ago I had picked up Twisted from the Finger Paints Special Effects collection at Sally's. I had looked at prices online (ebay) and the prices were ridiculous. The price was about 10-20 bucks. I got mine for a steal at only five something. The 10 Professional Nail Lacquer in the color Twilight Nights only needed one coat and came out beautifully. It's more of a deeper red purple when it dries than it is in the bottle. And the Finger Paints Twisted flakie polish speaks for itself... it's absolutely awesome. Most all the swatches I've seen when I Google'd the polish are over a black, so I thought I would share something different. What's different about the Twisted over the Twilight Nights is that the blue doesn't really seem to show as much, like on the black, unless you look for it. The colors that catch my eye of the Twisted over the purpley undercoat are mostly oranges, greens, and yellow golds. I hope you enjoyed this post!

Sponged Raibow Konad Nails
If anyone was wondering... this is what I imagine unicorns would have manicured on their fingers. Why? Because it seems so magical and awesome. Anyway this wasn't a hard look to pull off. I started with a typical base coat, then a coat of Sinful Colors Snow Me White. The coat of white doesn't have to look perfectly beautiful mainly because 1) It will be covered in other colors and 2) No one is going to go up to your nails and be like "You know what, I can't finely appreciate your manicure because that coat of white you put on went on a bit streaky." Life, thankfully, doesn't happen like that. and 3) the white is just to make the colors show up brighter.
For this manicure I used a cosmetic sponge (found most places where they sell beauty products, in my case I freakin found one right in our junk drawer!), I used Sinful Colors Neon Melon and Dream on and Sally Hansen Blue Me away. In order to achieve this look of sunshineawesomeneonrainbowhappyuniorn, in the corner of the cosmetic sponge I painted some neon yellow polish, then right next to it (barely overlapping the yellow), I painted some blue polish, then slightly overlapping the blue, I painted some neon purple. This does not need to take up the width of the whole sponge. I find it only needs to span the width of your largest finger.
After I had painted the colors on the cosmetic sponge I just sponged them onto my nail starting at the cuticle of my nail and working forward in a line to the tip of my nail. You may need to go over spots you may have missed, and you will need to repaint the colors on frequently whether it's after every nail or a couple times a nail.
After I had finished sponging my nails, I took Konad plate m57 and the special Konad white polish and stamped each one! Since the sponging makes the colors almost matte, or dull, I applied a top coat of Out The Door and BAM, even the unicorns were jealous.
Pokemon nails
This earns me some cool points, right? Well this was all done before I bought my detail brushes, like my Nyan Cat nails. Basically to do the details I twisted the nub of a q-tip to make a point then cut it off... Kinda like a ghetto paint brush. And way the red on the Pokeball is Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Rapid Red. The black and white on both is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Black and White. And the yellow on the pikachu is a no name Color Club. I bought it in a pack of neon 7 colors.
Nyan Cat Nails!
Is this what you think it is? IT SURE AS HELL IS. This is the poptart cat from that annoying YouTube video. Also known as Nyan Cat. If you still have no idea what I'm talking about.. take a gander here. This manicure took WAY too long but made me a bunch of new friends on FunnyJunk and was worth it! :D
Bright Water Marble
As you can probably tell, this is not my first water marble. But I used all Sally Hansen formulas for water marbeling because they seem to be perfect for it. The colors were all from the Xtreme Wear collection and the used were: Sun Kissed (orange), Mellow Yelow, Fuchsia Power (pink), Pacific Blue, and from the Sally Hansen Insta-Dry collection: Lickty-Split Lime (green). I had some trouble with the green, it spread perfectly fine, but as the name says, it dried wayyy too fast.
Elephant Nails
This is possibly one of my most favorite manicure I've done. The light blue polish is a smaller polish I picked up from Rite Aid. The brand is called Petites and the color is 554 Baby Blue. I used a small detail paintbrush to do all the rest of the dark gray design. The design color is Gray Area from Sally Hansen's Xtreme wear collection. For the design in the middle of my thumb and pinky, I painted two parallel lines and painted sideways Vs in them, then went down the middle with another line! The Elephant was all done by hand with a tiny detail paintbrush also in the color Gray Area.
